Issues•Zenses can't find any devices

    I have a Creative Zen Vision M, and I just installed the program that comes with it. Anyways I used to have Linux Ubuntu and I used mtp2lastfm with my Zen before. Now that computer is dead and I'm stuck with XP. I installed Zenses and when I go into it, it says loading on the bottom right than I click on File and then Find Devices. And it never finds the Zen. What do I do?

    Also, when I wait for the loading part to go through. I try finding my Zen, and it takes ages.

    btw, it does't say "Can't find any devices" it just doesn't find anything. It just keeps saying "Searching for Devices".

    It doesn't do anything. All it says is "Searching for devices". How long is that supposed to take?

    Disconnect your devices, close any applications that might use the device down (Windows Media Player etc..) and then try Zenses. Sometimes other applications dont close down MTP connections successfully which makes Zenses see the device but cant connect.

    If your still not having any luck, submit your log output and i will take a look.

    I have the same problem. I tried what you said but it doesn't work for me. I wanted to show you my log output but I don't know what it is or where I can find it. Please help me.

    I have a Zen X-Fi 2 with the latest firmware installed, but it isnt being detected by Zenses 2. It says the same thing as is happening to 'Bremaine'. I have run the debugger and it says at the bottom "ERROR Debugger:50 - No devices found!". Using the old zenses doesnt work either. Any suggestions? I'll email you the debug log and hope that you can have a look at it and figure out any problems.

    No devices ever detected... what am I doing wrong? Do i need to authenticate with last fm??

    Hi there - I know that it can take a lot of time (especially the first time you connect) to recognise a devise but how long is long? I've had my mozaic ez100 plugged in and zenses2 has been searching for over 8 hours... is that far too long? No wmp or anything else open - no errors... mozaic ez100 has latest firmware... 1092 music files... how long would be reasonable to wait?
